- If your Printer is not printing from the expected paper tray
You have to look in two places in order to correct this error.
- Look on the printing PC
- Look on the device.
In case the printing application has been set to print to the wrong paper tray then you have to correct it within the application. Select the Printer Properties and navigate to the Tray Selection source.
In case setting in PC is fine then check the paper sizes in the control panel to match in the paper trays.
- If the Printer is picking up all the paper from the feed tray rather than one sheet There is a pad which is responsible for segregating the paper. This component might get worn out with time. In such cases, pad replacement is the only option. There is no need of sending out the device for repair. Another possibility is that the paper is wet due to humidity for that keeps the paper properly stored and make sure that it is “fanned” before putting it into the peripheral.
- If the 79 error is displayed in the device
This issue occurs due to the malfunctions with the network print functionality with the device.
To manage this error you have to perform the following troubleshooting.
- First step is to open the Printer folder from the Start menu on the Print server: Here, you have to confirm that there are no pending printing jobs.
- Sometimes, this error occurs due to the incompatibility of add-ons with the device. These add-ons could include the MIO card or Ram modules. Here you might arrive at an impasse. To find out which one of these additions introduced the error, remove them and reintroduce them one by one.
